From crisis to stability —
for those who served, and those still struggling.
Focused Outreach Richmond walks alongside veterans, the formerly incarcerated, and Virginians facing addiction, homelessness, or psychopathology. We provide the case management, residential care, employment, and benefits navigation that turn the next 90 days into the next chapter.
Outreach, education, training, and care for people the system tends to lose.
We use evidence-based practices — outreach, training, planning, mental-health and substance-use treatment, career counseling, case management, employment services, and small-business development — to help clients move from crisis to stability to economic mobility.
More about FOROutreach first
We meet veterans where they are — at shelters, in jails, on the street, and in waiting rooms — long before paperwork.
Care that doesn't hand off
One coordinated team: peer support, mental-health treatment, case management, and 24/7 residential care when that's what stability requires.
A path to employment
Resume help, interview practice, certificate training, and workforce placement — because economic mobility is the finish line, not the start line.
Programs built for the toughest transitions.
Federal partnerships and local case management combine to support the moments when a person's next decision matters most.

Mothers and children supported under one roof.
Protecting children
A safe, nurturing environment for every child.
Second chances
Healing, growth, and the power of a fresh start.
Giving mothers hope
Resources and encouragement for a brighter future.
The barriers don't come one at a time.
Most of the people we serve are carrying more than one of: homelessness, incarceration, substance use, addiction, domestic violence, and psychopathology. A single referral can't fix that. So our team holds the case — and the relationship — through every step of the next 90 days.
Since 2011, FOR has devoted its energy to passionately assisting those with significant barriers — moving them from crisis to stability to economic mobility.— Our promise
Stand with the veterans we serve.
